Watch video tour of school construction

We’re excited to share that workers have put the roof on the third story of our partner’s* school! And, after a brief COVID-related closure in January, the school re-opened with more than 800 students, and an additional 200 to 300 admissions are expected in March. Praise God! In the video clip below, our partner takes us along the front of the school so we can see the new construction, while explaining that funding is still needed to furnish the third floor (electrical wiring and fixtures, windows and doors, air conditioning, smart boards, desks, etc.).
In addition, the construction contractor said since his tools are already on site and the pillars are in place, he could add a fourth story – our partner’s goal – within two months. He would love to take advantage of this opportunity to grow the school. A fourth floor means the school could enroll 1,800 students; more students mean more tuition, which translates to more funding for other aspects of our partner’s ministry. (At 600 students, tuition fees cover operating costs; as enrollment increases further, the income can finance other areas such as the training and equipping of pastors and ch*rch planters.)
There is a sense of urgency, as he would need the construction funds by the time the inside of the third floor is complete around the end of March or the offer no longer applies. “We are praying that God will do some miracle here,” said our partner. He shares that furnishing the third floor will cost $60,000-$70,000, and constructing the fourth floor will cost approximately $150,000.
