Pray Against Darkness

Updated: Aug 26

A group of people standing with a sign.

Yesterday, the world’s largest religious gathering wrapped up in Northern India – approximately 620 million Hindus attended the Maha Kumbh Mela (Festival of the Sacred Pitcher) to enter the Triveni Sangam, the confluence of three “holy” rivers. Over the last 45 days, about one third of India’s population dipped in the water with the hope of cleansing their sins and coming closer to the divine….Lord, have mercy.

And, with persecution rising in India, now, more than ever, we need to pray. Prayer is powerful and the most important thing we as believers can do. Join us right now in praying for India, our partner and this ministry. Pray for:

  • The Lord to open the eyes and soften the hearts of the Indian people, that they may turn from their millions of gods and goddesses to the one, true God;

  • The freedom to worship God openly;

  • The Lord to fill our partner with wisdom, discernment and clarity in how to advocate for our imprisoned workers and safely and effectively lead the ministry;

  • The Lord to grant the imprisoned believers good health, courage and hope, and peace and provision for their families;

  • The Lord to put his hedge of protection around all the workers and their families, guard their hearts and minds, and give them the strength to stand firm in their faith; and

  • The Lord to use this rise in persecution to accomplish No Village Left – a healthy house church in every village of Northern India by 2033.

You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives (Gen. 50:20, NIV).
